How To Add A Simple Crochet Edge To Your Knitting

I originally taught me, because so many of my favorite knitting patterns crochet include crocheted edges. I have since found out that crochet a beautiful addition to your knitting can be, offering everything from girly, fancy lace on simple, clean edges. In this article I will show you how easy it is to add a simple crocheted edge to your knitting.

This edge is by far the easiest to do is add a big on cleanliness to your knitting. It creates a narrow, flat edges - particularly useful if you are looking for a clean and clear.

Adding a crocheted edge to knit

Start by using your crochet hook is your right hand (the same size hook, knitting needle as you: If you were then using a 4mm knitting needles, a crochet hook 4mm.) Make a loop and wrap it around your hook . Then put the hook through the loops at the bottom of your knitting.

Wrapthe yarn around the hook from right to left.

Pull the bottom loop up over the new loop (by wrapping the yarn over from right to left, if they have created just done) and over the top of the hook.

Wrap the yarn around from right to left, and repeat the above step, with 1 being the loop on the hook.

Carry on this double crochet stitch in each stitch along the outer edge of your knitting. If the end of the section you want to reach the edge, simply cut your yarnand remove the loop from your hook. Then thread the yarn through the loop and pull tight. This will hold the yarn to unravel.

This is probably the simplest and easiest to get to grips with crochet stitch and produces a nice clean edge.
