Knit Hat Design - How Come You a hat if you want to knit a sweater?

Everything is Elizabeth Zimmermann's guilt. Since you are chewing at the bit to knit sweaters designed for yourself or a loved one. What do you do knit hat instead of one?

The proof is in the pudding ... um, hats off.

If you have a sweater in the yarn, color, pattern and design to fit you want with EPS, Elizabeth's Percentage system, the last step before making the cast for the sweater a hat. She calls it your experimental swatch hat. Makes sensesince the hat is half of the stitches of the sweater.

Knit it up into the pattern you discovered with the meter you. If everything goes as you planned? Whether it works or not, whether you a few tweaks you want for your sweater or no shows, it is able to knit a quick take you when you are finished.

A hat takes care of your sweater is not a failure.

It is especially important if you are a complicated like a sweater Aran sweater with several cable designs design. They want to turnthe size of the image in my head, plus just the right fit, right?

I am designing an Aran sweater in celebration of Elizabeth Zimmermann's birth 100 years ago of 9 August 1910th I opted for designs with 8, 9 and 10 stitches, patterns and models that seem connected with Elizabeth. I'm itching to cast on now for him that I am teaching, have size, and charts ready.

But I knit hat instead of one.

Here is what is ridiculous. My graph paper map for the draft is about a meter long - solarger than the hat. Why?

My graph paper has squares so it is easy to see, everyone has mapped out the pattern in the right order for knitting. I have a diamond on the front and a single monogram on the back. The other patterns mirror each other on the sides, so I reversed one of the cable designs for the other side of the hat.

Is not that a meter-long chart Overkill?

Not if I want a beautiful knitting experience. An Aran project takes some attention. Why not remove booby traps - and vice versa Triple Cable Knit Hat in this design?

You also know someone to distract me while knitting with a question or the phone rings it, or I sneeze, or the cat will enter into the table with feet.

How much do you enjoy tearing out the error?

I'm just saying.
